Why is it important to vaccinate my puppy/dog?

Vaccinating your dog is essential to help build their immune system to fight against fatal diseases. This ensures the safety of your furry friend and prevents them from contracting and spreading serious illnesses to other pets and humans in your beloved community. Some diseases that vaccines protect your dog against include:

  • Rabies
  • Bronchitis
  • Parasites
  • Canine distemper, influenza and hepatitis
  • Lyme disease

When should I get my puppy/dog vaccinated?

We recommend getting your puppy vaccinated when they are 8 to 12-weeks-old. They will continue to receive a series of shots until they are 3 to 4-months-old. Throughout their life, they will get booster shots every 1 to 3 years. The timeline all depends on your pet’s unique health needs and lifestyle. Our veterinarians will work with you to create a preventative vaccination plan that works for them and keeps them safe and healthy.

How do you vaccinate my dog?

We typically administer vaccines through a single injection under the skin. Some may also be given orally as drops into the nose or mouth. Your dog may feel a slight prick from the injection, but the procedure is relatively painless. Our team will ensure they are calm and as comfortable as possible throughout the process.
